In business since 1956, Litbec Inc. (Top-Bedding) which operates a fleet of 45 trucks and more than 400 trailers is looking for an experienced mechanic to repair the following equipment at our garage in Richmond.

• Drybox trailers, moving-floor trailers, blower trailers, and chip trailers;
• Freightliner Cascadia trucks, manual or automatic;
• Loaders / forklifts

As part of this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting PEP inspections (trucks and trailers)
• Performing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic repairs to ensure vehicles are compliant.
• Informing your immediate supervisor of any additional maintenance needs

Job Requirements:

• PEP CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
• HALOCARBON CERTIFICATION (ODP) IS A MAJOR ASSET
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience (with PEP certification) in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics, including hydraulic, electronic, and pneumatic systems, and engines.
• Experience in welding
• DVS in heavy-duty truck maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Class 5 driver’s license (for occasional road service)
• Class 1 an asset
• Ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve problems effectively
• Commitment to always practicing safe work habits
• Strong ability to manage priorities
• Self-reliant, resourceful, and a team player

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day and evening shifts (schedule to be discussed)
